Doing Business in Lithuania
Lithuania combines moderate taxes with a strict financial regulator. Before you start, look at three areas: tax, licensing and reporting. The country is one of Europe’s leading fintech hubs: the Bank of Lithuania licenses EMI, PSP and CASP entities, and the CASP regime under MiCA has replaced VASP licences. Annual statements go to Registrų centras and VAT returns to VMI by fixed deadlines.
COREDO provides a full range of legal services for foreign companies operating in Lithuania. We work for non-residents, regulated financial companies, fintech and crypto startups and companies facing enquiries from the Bank of Lithuania. Our lawyers draft and review contracts and represent clients before the Bank of Lithuania, government bodies and courts.
